Dançando com a Diferença celebrates 20 years of existence in 2021. The main objective of the pilot project underpinning this initiative was to “modify the social image of people with disabilities”. There is no question that the dance company has contributed to this change, in many different ways. Vera Mantero is living proof of the assumptions that continue to guide the actions of Dançar com a Diferença. Her career is punctuated by boldness, innovation, questioning current social standards and conventions. For this reason, she’s the guest choreographer for this celebratory occasion, that will help the dance company to continue its trajectory.
