“Dançar com a Diferença” (Dancing with the Difference)is a dance company that has dancers with and without disabilities in its cast. It is based in Madeira during its 18 years of activity, it has developed the concept of Inclusive Dance through its various artistic works.

The +Inclusão project started in 2016 in Madeira. It is composed of a group of responses from the “Dancing with the Difference” applied to different contexts. At +Inclusão/Fora de Portas - Guimarães in partnership with A Oficina, in different phases and with different intervention models, we intend to bring diverse audiences closer to what Inclusive Dance is for us, under the direction of Henrique Amoedo, who created this concept.

Starting in 2021, we will reach the different institutions that support people with disabilities in the municipality of Guimarães, meeting them and then proposing diversified and thought-out interventions for each reality. Inclusion through the arts and the practices to be developed will be the motto for the emergence of an initiatory work that extolling the existence of our differences and potentialities, will pave the way for the recognition of the other, taking our views beyond their diversity.
